Divide the Light from the Shadow

Like I said before, I’m taking a figure drawing class from Adam Ford down in Provo. This is the first figure drawing class I’ve taken. It’s very challenging because it’s not with digital media. All I have is a piece of compressed charcoal and some news print. I’m posting only the ones that I thought were good. Something I’ve learned in his class so far is ALWAYS separate the light from the shadow, and the drawing will look a lot better.  I’m learning a lot in this class. It’s really fun.

I’ve also been invited to share my art on an art blog, which I’m pretty excited about. So some of the stuff you see on here will also be on Why not art blog?

Also, I’ve been doing other stuff besides Mascots which I will post next time. Thanks for looking.
